Description
This Human Granulocyte-Macrophage Colony Stimulating Factor (GM-CSF) ELISA Kit is used for the quantitative measurement of human GM-CSF in many biological fluids, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, and tissue homogenates. GM-CSF, also known as CSF2, is a monomeric glycoprotein secreted by macrophages, T cells, mast cells, natural killer cells, endothelial cells, and fibroblasts. It is an important cytokine that exerts effects in both innate and adaptive immunity. Acting as an inducer, CSF2 stimulates myeloid progenitors to proliferate and differentiate into granulocyte and macrophage. CSF2 binding to its receptor CSF2R triggers four main signaling pathways, including JAK/STAT, PI3K-AKT, ERK1/2, and NF-kB pathways, thus promoting cell differentiation, survival, and inflammation. The assay is based on the Sandwich ELISA mechanism and enzyme-substrate chromogenic reaction. The intensity of the color is proportional to the GM-CSF content in the sample. This kit has been veri...Read more
