| Description |
The Human leucine-rich alpha-2 glycoprotein 1 (LRG1) ELISA Kit is used to quantitatively measure the LRG1 content in human serum, urine, and tissue homogenates. This kit has validated with excellent sensitivity, high specificity, and precision less than 15%. It can help to streamline the experimental procedures and get more ideal results. This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate has been pre-coated with an LRG1 antigen. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with an antibody specific for LRG1 and HRP-conjugated goat-anti-mouse LRG1 antibody. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between with pre-coated LRG1 and LRG1 in samples or samples. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of LRG1 in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. LRG1 is a secreted glycoprotein belonging to the leucine-rich repeats (LRRs) family and is produced by hepatocytes. LRG1 serum concentration ranges from 10-50 µg/mL in healthy individuals. LRG1 has been shown to play crucial roles in cell survival, migration, invasion, and apoptosis. It is also involved in inflammation, angiogenesis, and tumor promotion. Overexpression of LRG1 is related to several types of cancer like colorectal cancer (CRC) and could be regarded as a marker for cancer diagnosis. |
