Recombinant Neosartorya fumigata Hydrophobin (rodA) with an N-terminal 6xHis-B2M-tag is a full-length of mature protein expressed in E.coli. The sequence used to prepare this recombinant RodA protein corresponds to residues Leu19-Leu159 of Neosartorya fumigata RodA. Its purity is greater than 85% as determined by SDS-PAGE. A molecular mass band of approximately 30 kDa was visualized on the reducing SDS-PAGE gel. Applied for specific antibody synthesis, this recombinant rodA protein also may be used on Aspergillus fumigatus-related studies. RodA is one of Neosartorya fumigata/Aspergillus fumigatus-expressed hydrophobins, which self-assemble spontaneously into the amphipathic layer at the hydrophilic-hydrophobic interfaces facilitating and supporting the fungal lifecycle at air-water and water-environmental interfaces. | Reconstitution | We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference. |
