CUSABIO used the Rat Thyrotropin subunit beta (Tshb) DNA sequence encoding amino acids 21-132 to generate a fusion protein with an N-terminal 10xHis-tag and a C-terminal Myc-tag. The resulting recombinant full-length of mature protein was produced in the Baculovirus. It was subjected to SDS-PAGE (15% gel) under reducing conditions and presented a molecular mass band of about 19 kDa on the gel. The purity of the Tshb protein is greater than 85%. In addition to specific antibody synthesis, this recombinant Tshb protein may be used in the studies of Tshb-involved cancers. Tshb, together with Tsha, makes up the thyrotropin (TSH). Tshb determines the specificity of TSH, which is responsible for the activation of the thyroid gland, playing a key role in controlling development and metabolism in mammals and other vertebrates. TSH is also involved in the specific developmental processes such as larval metamorphosis in amphibians, as well as larval and secondary metamorphoses in some teleost species. Additionally, TSH may regulate the functions in immune or reproductive systems through pleiotropic effects and multiple target tissues of thyroid hormones. Hide more |

| Form | Liquid or Lyophilized powder Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand. |
| Buffer | If the delivery form is liquid, the default storage buffer is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 5%-50% glycerol. Note: If you have any special requirement for the glycerol content, please remark when you place the order. If the delivery form is lyophilized powder, the buffer before lyophilization is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0. |
| Reconstitution | We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference. |
| Storage Condition | Store at -20°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |
| Shelf Life | The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself. Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C. |
| Lead Time | Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time. |
| Notes | Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week. |
